Start Your Pool Season Right

Getting ready for pool season? Our Pool Opening Form helps us gather everything we need to open your pool smoothly and on schedule. Please take a few moments to fill out the details below so our team can prepare your pool for a clean, safe, and stress-free start to the season.

INGROUND POOL OPENING: $420

(Openings requiring over 2 hours will be charged at the rate of $210.00 per hour. Chemicals and parts are additional, (as well as $2.00 a mile over 30 miles from either location).
Activities include:

  • Remove dry cover from the pool or clean auto cover, rinse and wash cover with Stow Away Cleaner (Chemical is $22.65 additional) and fold cover (cover will be put away damp as that is the purpose ofthe cleaner).
  • Install handrails, diving board, fittings, and baskets, reconnect equipment, and startup system, check equipment, and make repair notes if needed. (NOTE: water must be at operating level before we arrive).
  • Add shock and algaecide and initial dose of salt-CHEMICALS BILLED SEPERATELY (according to our water tests. Note that more may be needed following opening, if a saltwater pool. Additional chemicals may need to be added after opening to finish cleaning up the pool. Also note that all chemicals are additional to the opening fee. We recommend returning to the store for a pool water test a few days after opening.
  • Brush pool down and a quick vacuum as time and water level allow (NOTE: Pool will not be swimmable as this is an initial cleaning only and several more are typically needed for safe use of the pool).

ABOVE GROUND POOL OPENING: $420

Please note cleaning and equipment checks cannot be completed for above ground openings due to low water level.
Activities include:

  • Install ladder, fittings, and baskets, reconnect equipment, and complete a visual check and make repair notes if needed. (Note: Equipment cannot be left running or fully checked for leaks due to lower water level at opening on above ground pools).
  • Chemicals cannot be added without equipment running (we can leave startup chems by request to be added by the customer later)
  • Brush pool down and a quick vacuum (if water level allows) or scoop. (NOTE: Pool will not be swimmable as this is an initial cleaning only and several more are typically needed for safe use of the pool).

Note that the Customer is responsible for filling the pool, adding chemicals, and operating the equipment following opening

    POTENTIAL ADDITIONS TO OUR STANDARD OPENING RATE:

    • $210.00 per hour billed for time pumping water off cover.
    • Any pools over 30 miles from either of our stores will be billed at the rate of $2.00 per mile for travel (after 30 miles).
    • Note that all chemicals and accessories used on opening services will be added to the bill.
    • Any repair work found at pool openings will be performed at the discretion of our schedule and is not included in the pool opening cost. You will be billed for the minimum $210.00 per hour rate for time spent repairing - even if the pool isn’t opened, plus mileage if out of our service area. Note that repairs and/or opening may have to be re-scheduled for another day.

    Depending on the condition of the pool, cleanup may require multiple trips as debris settles. If you desire us to do this following your pool opening, call the West Plains office at (417) 257-7665 or the Mountain Home office at (870) 232-0019. This work will be billed $125.00 per trip plus chemicals, and travel costs at the rate of $2.00 per mile (over 30 miles) if you are located out of our service area.

    Note that we also offer standard pool cleaning services. We will schedule these trips for when we will be in your area ONLY. Please let us know within 24 hours of opening if you would like to schedule an additional cleaning.

    CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITIES PRIOR TO OPENING DATE:

    • For inground pool openings to be completed fully on day of service and to avoid additional return
      trips and fees, water level must be to middle of skimmer or above the day of scheduled pool opening.
    • Typically, above ground pools cannot have water added due to disconnected equipment. The
      customer will need to add water and chemicals following our opening.
    • Debris must be removed off the cover, and water removed off solid tarps and auto covers
    • Note that we are not responsible for debris that falls from the cover into the pool if the debris
      isn’t removed beforehand. Electric power must be turned on and water with hose are available.
    • All parts needed (eyeballs, jets, diving board, handrails, ladders, storage bag for cover, etc.), need to
      be set out within 10 feet of the pool deck. If not, you will be billed for any return trips or parts used.
    • Pool and equipment must be accessible and major debris and animal droppings removed. If Auto
      Covers will not open, we will not force them, and repair/service must be scheduled for a later date.
      We also offer routine service packages for the entire pool season if you would like hassle free pool
      maintenance! We also offer free water testing in either of our stores.
